Artillery training at Camp Pendleton could mean noise for neighbors

Artillery
Live-fire artillery training at Camp Pendleton may lead to increased noise in the surrounding area, Marine officials said.

The training in the Whiskey and Zulu areas of the sprawling base was set to begin at 6 a.m. Saturday and last until midnight Tuesday. Depending on cloud cover, the explosions may be heard up to 50 miles away.
