Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in eight L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times' Crime L.A. database.
Five neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Arlington Heights (A) was the most unusual, recording eight reports compared with a weekly average of 3.2 over the last three months.
Atwater Village (F) topped the list of three neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 11 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 4.4 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Sept. 12–Sept. 18, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
